Our half day kayak program is an opportunity for kids to get on the water, play and learning the basics of boating. Instruction on safety and paddling technique are infused in games, activities and swimming. We meets rain or shine, although we will come indoors for games during severe weather or water conditions! Lunch is provided though the Holyoke Summer Feeding Program – Monday thru Thursday; Fridays kayakers paddle to a destination, build a campfire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows (food provided).
**Kayak participants wear a life-jacket at all times on the water. Also, footwear must be worn at all times – in boats, in the water and on land.
New this year: Participants will be split into two age groups. A 7 to 12 group and a 13 to 17 group. We may shift the ages around depending on our roster that week.
