In addition to the regular programs on this page, we also offer fun summer programs for kids!

Winter Erging

The 2018 Winter Erging season is November 27 to February 1. We meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm to 7pm and on Saturdays from 7:30am to 9am. Everyone is welcome, equipment provided.

Experienced sweep rowing

If you have ever rowed before you are eligible to join our adult evening sweep program.  We meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:15pm and Saturday mornings 7:30 to 9:00am.  We are a mixed group of men and women of all ages, fitness levels and skills.  We love new folks so don’t worry if it takes you a while to get back up to speed.  We are all patient.

Beginners sweep class

This is a 3 week class that meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.   By the end of class you will be capable of joining the experienced group.

Adaptive Rowing

This Universal Access Program is run in conjunction with DCR (Department of Conservation and Recreation) and is free to people with visual, physical or cognitive disabilities and their families. Thursdays, May – October are open for drop-ins or call/e-mail Stephanie to schedule an individual session.

All welcome, equipment provided.

Veterans kayaking

We offer a free membership to veterans.  Just contact us and set up an appointment to get a key fob and an orientation. In addition, a meditative kayak program is available at our boathouse thru the Springfield Vet Center.  Register with them.  It is veterans only program that meets in the summer on Wednesday mornings.

Veterans rowing

Veterans are welcome at no charge to any of our rowing programs or schedule a private lesson with us.

Veterans dragon boating

New this summer will be dragon boating.  Stay tuned for more details.

High school and middle school crew

We run a team rowing program for high school and middle school students, during the school year.  It meets after school, at the boathouse, 3:15 to 5:15 everyday.  High school rowers practice 5 days/week, middle school rowers practice 3 days/week.
